Kudzu Basket Weaving
One last girls night at the cabin! We went to McCaysville and learned how to weave baskets from kudzu vine.
We stood in Georgia and Tennessee
and our baskets turned out great!

Fall Creek Falls
We took a hike to a new waterfall today.
It is a short, easy hike to Fall Branch Falls-which meant it was packed with lots of families with young children. Jim called it the "McDonald's playground of hiking trails."
The dogs had a blast!

My pretty girl!
Selfie game is on point today
Lower falls
We had a great time and the weather was beautiful!

Girls Night at the Cabin
Carolyn, Morgan and I left a day early for our trip to Chattanooga and spent the night at the cabin.
We walked around Blue Ridge and did a little shopping. It was hot, and a root beer break was necessary!
We had dinner at Chester's and the girls were tickled because the server thought they were old enough to ask if we wanted separate checks!
Movies and face masks were the agenda for the evening.
A quick trip to Mercier's for breakfast and we hit the road to Chattanooga

I love spending time with these two!

Mother-Daughter Girls Night at the Cabin
My friend Jenny is moving. So SAD! Due to some unfortunate timing issues with her moving truck, we were able to plan one more getaway to the cabin. This time we let the daughters come, too!
We did a little shopping on the way up to Blue Ridge
and ate a late lunch at Masseria
We all enjoyed our pizzas!
Carolyn got a campfire going in spite of the damp wood!
We roasted hot dogs
and s'mores
And then went inside for some crafting.
We watched Beauty and the Beast and made burlap Christmas ornaments.
They turned out so cute!
It poured down rain all night long (such good sleeping!) Friday morning we made breakfast burritos and then worked the new Georgia puzzle Jenny brought us.
Many hands make quick work!
We had such a good time (as always!) and it was so much fun to have Carolyn, Macie, and Laney (and Joey!) with us this trip!

One Last Girls Night at the Cabin
As always, we ate great food, had great discussion, watched a B movie and crafted!
We made patriotic door hangers
and they all turned out so cute! Here is mine:
