Bentonville
Hard to tell they are related
Second cousins? First cousins once removed? I can never remember...
I love this pic of my parents!
Home of the Razorbacks
We visited the University of Arkansas today. UA is one of Abigail's top schools, so I called my friend Aubrey who is a senior there and she took us on a FANTASTIC tour!
The campus is very pretty and has a very active Greek life.
We found the Pi Phi gate!
The little girls liked the Greek amphitheater.
I'd never been on campus before and it was a very nice school.
Hate that we didn't get a pic with Aubrey!

Apple Picking
Grandy bought a new piece of land and it has four apple trees on it!
The girls picked apples
and I plan to make apple butter when I get home.

Arkansas in the Summertime
We managed to fit a visit to Meme and Grandy's in this month.
Sweet Lou!
And Grandy took us to the Osage Clayworks, since we have a potter in the family now. This place was very cool and will be a regular stop from now on.
Getting some tech help from a grandson
I don't know what was so funny!
We love our Meme!
So glad the Wilsons were able to meet us up there!
AND we found a new snow cone place!

Thanksgiving=Family Time
We were so lucky to get to see so much family this trip!
My cousin Jimbo and his family drove over from Bentonville Tuesday night.
Brauns, Wilsons, and Adamses
I requested a fish fry while we were home and we had a house full to enjoy it! (Uncle James is famous for his fried catfish.)
Sam loved wrestling with Christian!
Hadley loved hanging out with Coleman (she kept calling him Bad Boy, lol).
My Aunt Drenda, my cousin Susan and her family, and my cousin Wesley and her family were all able to come for overlapping stays.
Brauns, Wilsons, Schmidts, and LaRues-first cousins once removed (we looked it up!)
We all enjoyed the basketball goal at Meme and Grandy's new house!

Kids Cook 2017
Every year the kids confirm that we are going to do "kids cook" for Thanksgiving. I think it is their favorite tradition that we have. We were feeding a huge group this year!
Hadley thought the menu was a sign up sheet
It's a good thing that Mom and Dad's new house has a big kitchen! Patrick and Walker jumped right in.
Coleman is the sausage ball specialist! Abigail was on pecan pie duty for the first time this year.
Amy couldn't have managed the dressing without Hadley's help.
Many hands make light work!
Everything was DELICIOUS!
