We had a GREAT time on our trip to Lexington to see the Tigers play! Except that they lost. In triple overtime. We are in mourning and will not speak of it again.
But we had a great time! This was the first LSU football game that the kids had ever been to. (Christian has been to lots of games, but he was too little to remember them.) Uncle Gary and Aunt Susan drove up from Alabama and met us. We tailgated all afternoon with LSU fans and Kentucky fans. There were a TON of LSU fans at this game! The kids had a blast eating all kinds of junk and playing football and Hillbilly golf.
I think that seeing the Tigers was everything that the boys thought it would be and more. Although they realized that it's much easier to tell what's going on when you are watching it close up on TV! Carolyn had fun, too. Until the triple overtime. I don't think she watched much of it.
All in all, we had a good time.
