High (brow) Museum of Art

We went to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta today.  The High is the only museum in the country that has a partnership with the Louvre to exhibit articles from its collection.  Jim and I have both wanted to go since we moved here.  The Louvre exhibit was a little disappointing...there just wasn't much of it. (As Jim said, "They didn't send Atlanta their best STUFF!")

Some of us really enjoyed it.

Some of us didn't.

Everyone enjoyed the childrens' hands on gallery.  Christian and Coleman both built things with the wooden blocks.  (They won't TOUCH the ones we have at home!)

Carolyn made some art of her own!

(It's a bunny eating a carrot...the ears came later!)

Coleman built a bed with some little girls.

And then climbed in it with them.  Yes, I dread the teenage years....

We had a good time.  We're cultured that way.
