Watson Mill Bridge State Park

Today we drove over to Watson Mill Bridge State Park. It has the largest covered bridge in the state, spanning 229 feet across the South Fork River.
At one time, Georgia had more that 200 covered bridges. There are less than 20 today.
See those itty bitty bodies to the right of the waterfall? Christian and Coleman were as physically close to the falls as they could get. Without being IN them, of course.

Believe it or not, nobody got wet on this trip!
We hiked two and a half miles along the river
and through the woods.
When we got back to the bridge, Christian went back to the truck to get the drinks and snacks we brought. And locked the keys in it.
This is Jim on the phone with OnStar. (One more reason to buy GM!) A satellite blip later, and the doors were open and we had the keys!
We walked across the bridge (which was built in 1885). Even though we had already driven over the bridge in the truck, Carolyn was concerned that she was going to fall through a crack.
She didn't.

Coleman said this was his FAVORITE PARK TO HIKE AT EVER. Of course, he also said that about Tallulah Gorge and Amicalola Falls. It was a wonderful day.

Great Photos!

Funny you mention GM. Today I was annoyed with someone with those initials and I said in a text message to another person: "I am so annoyed with GM" and they said "Whats wrong with your car". RO!

I mom, therefore I blog.
