Fort Yargo State Park is only about 15 minutes from our house. It has a beautiful lake,
and as you can see from the pictures, LOTS of rocks to climb on!
(I think maybe it is time to retire this shirt!)
It also has lots of trails for mountain biking, although there are also hiking trails. There is an old fort built by settlers in 1793 for protection against the Creek and Cherokee Indians. We were expecting a stockade...it was more of a log cabin. The kids climbed on the rocks and did everything they could to fall into the water. We managed to leave with only one wet shoe and sock!
