When Christian was in preschool in Missouri, his school had gymnastics twice a month (really just a little tumbling class.) Every week the gymnastics instructor brought in all the mats and some bars and scooters and balls. The kids loved it. At the end of the year, they had an exhibition to show the parents all the things they learned over the year. Christian was so funny. He learned how to do a somersault (I know, cutting edge!) but he could NEVER go straight! He always went off to the left. All the kids wore their red, white and blue attire and everyone received a gold medal. Everything was fun for the sake of FUN.Today is the 5th grade field day. Now everything is about WINNING. I miss the just for fun.
