Fernbank Museum

School starts a week from Monday.  Where did this summer go?  I think this has been the shortest one in history!  Yesterday was our second-to-last Take Off Tuesday.  We went to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History.  Our membership runs out at the end of the month, so we squeezed in one more trip.  Mrs. Kim and Kelly went with us.

The kids are posed in front of the largest dinosaur fossil in the world-an Argentinosaurus.  Of course, you can only see about half of him in the picture!
Right now at the Fernbank, the special exhibit is The Ends of the Earth.  It is fantastic!
They played in a polar bear cave
and prowled about on the ice like polar bears.
They walked with the penguins
and slid on their bellies like penguins.
They learned so much, it was almost like they became ONE with the penguins!
(I think this is my absolute favorite picture from the whole summer!)

Added bonus: it was nice and cool in the Arctic, unlike outside!
