The town we live in is trying to set a new Guiness World Record for the most scarecrows in one area. The town needs 4000+ scarecrows to win. We had to help, or course! So this afternoon we made three scarecrows for our front yard.
They don't have to be fancy...it's more of a quantity vs. quality type of thing.
We made two lacrosse players and a ballerina. Naturally.
Jim made the skeletons.
As he was pounding the head of Coleman's scarecrow into the ground he said, "Coleman, sometimes I dream of this!"
We did our part!

I like the last reason for the event: "To guard the festival from the crows who might gather and cause trouble..." hee hee
the ballerina is so darn cute!
