Crafty crafty

Our cable was out all day yesterday.  We are not much of a TV-watching family... but yesterday was the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  (For all of you non-sports people, the week of Thanksgiving is Rivalry Week!)  The cable went out at 11:35... the Georgia-Georgia Tech game started at noon.  You could hear the scream go up from just about every house in the neighborhood!  Anyway, it was out until at least 2:00 AM.  I know this due to an unfortunate bout of insomnia last night.  Did I mention it also rained all weekend?  And it was cold?
But we made do!

Every year for Christmas the kids make ornaments for their aunts and uncles and grandparents.
So they worked on those while I finished up this:
Carolyn drew the family portrait for me and I embroidered it on this muslin.  I am so pleased with how it turned out!  I think I am going to make it into a bag.  Or maybe a pillow;  I haven't decided yet.  Coleman decided that I looked like I was having so much fun he wanted to try it, too.
Because you know we are equal-opportunity around here.
And how precious it turned out!
Jim made a big pot of gumbo this weekend and I put up most of the Christmas decorations today since I will be out of town next weekend.

All in all, a good weekend.
