All Is Right With The World

The universe has righted itself:
I finally had a chance to bake this morning and the cookie jar is again full!  This is one of my favorite recipes: Maple Glazed Maple Butter Cookies.

March is when maple sugaring occurs!  One March when we lived in PA we took a trip with our friends, the Costins to Vermont. The last weekend in March is the state-wide Maple Sugaring Weekend.  All of the sugar shacks have open houses and we learned all about making maple syrup.

This cookie recipe is from a Maple Sugaring cookbook I bought on that trip.  If you make it, double the recipe because it is YUMMY.

Gotta love our VT maple syrup! My boyfriends family collects sap on their property and they boil it in their garage. Did you know it takes about 40 gallons of sap to make ONE gallon of syrup? Insane. It's such a slow process but it's so fun to hang out with them while they do it :) Thanks for the recipe!! Miss you!

I mom, therefore I blog.
