I saw an adorable pillow in a overpriced crazy expensive high end cute shop in Blue Ridge one weekend. The pillow was made of burlap with the town name and zip code stenciled on it. They had them made up in all of the little mountain towns in the area. I loved them! Until I saw that the price on them was $65!
Sixty-five DOLLARS! Can you believe that?
So I decided to make my own:
1 yard of burlap fabric=$3 (enough for two pillows!)
1 pkg black piping= $2
stuffing left over from another project=free
package of stencils=$2
And I think MY seven dollar pillow is just as cute as the 65 dollar one!

I did that once with an $80 flower arrangement that I saw at Ethan Allen. $1.75, baby!
That is AWESOME! Would make a great housewarming gift....I'll have to remember this!
The shops here have pillows that say "If you're lucky enough to be in the mountains, you're lucky enough". Guess the folks around here don't need a zip code on their pillows to know where they are. (Seriously, $65??? Are they trying to rip off the tourists or what?)
LOVE the $7 version! Who would pay $65 for any pillow, ever?!
Love it! So adorable. I would pay you at least twice that for one. :)
Even better!!
$65?! Yours rocks!
PS: I totally knew as soon as I read that it was an overpriced store that you would make your own :)
