After two pretty days and soccer practice for the first time in over a week, the rain started again last night. Gwinnett County is currently under a flash flood warning again. Since soccer games were rained out again, we are at the cabin listening to the rain fall on the metal roof and our normally gentle Weaver Creek roaring outside!
Our creek in August
Our creek today!
The picture doesn't do justice to how fast the creek is flowing. It is normally only about 18-24 inches at this spot. It has to be at least three or four feet deep right now and is much wider than usual. The forecast calls for rain all day again tomorrow...

Wow! That is high! But I bet the sound of the rain on the roof is very relaxing!
Craig was outside bailing water at midnight last night. It was raining so hard that the drain outside the walk-up basement door couldn't drain fast enough. We've lived here over 7 years and have never had to do that before.
Please send your rain to Southern California...pretty please?
I agree with Jenn
oh, no! I was praying for a dry spell for y'all :(
CRAZY for a "creek"!
