Smiling Faces

We barely got the pumpkins carved this year.
It rained.all.week. We started an hour before trick-or-treating.
I tried to convince Coleman that carving the pumpkins the day AFTER Halloween would be a great tradition to start. He didn't buy it.
Up to their elbows in pumpkin guts.
Very poor photography by the master carvers' mother.
In my defense, it was raining so I was in a hurry!
Carolyn and I carved the Yankees, Coleman did the bats (middle) and Christian carved the spider. Both boys managed theirs completely solo!

very impressive, all around!

Carolyn looks VERY determined in her pic. Christian and Coleman have that "mom's taking a picture again, I'd better smile" look :)

we didn't get any carved this year :( and by "we" I mean Chris... he's the official pumpkin carver (since it's a creative activity, and that is his area to fulfill)

Craig was out of town all week and I didn't think arming any of us with sharp objects was a great idea. So, we opted for coloring them with sharpies this year. This may be the first year that I can ever remember not carving.

We (I) carved ours on Friday. The kids drew the faces, though and I cut them. Will really wanted to carve his by himself. I don't know if I'm quite ready for that. Your boys did a great job!

I mom, therefore I blog.
