Houses for Haiti

Yesterday after school, the art teachers at our school planned a craft project for the staff and their kids. I happened to be in the right place at the right time (and bearing king cake!) and received an invitation to come, too!
We made pins for "Houses for Haiti" to benefit the relief effort. Several families at our school have relatives in Haiti who were affected by the quake.
There was a great turnout! We made lots of pins and had LOTS of fun.
All of the pins made will be sold for $5 each and the proceeds will go directly to the Haitian families. Aren't these fantastic?
The houses still have to be sealed and made into pins but I can't wait to get the ones we made. (At least a few of them!)

Thanks, Maryann and Jackie! Our kids are so lucky to have both of you as their teachers!
