The Allure of the Automobile

"Everything in life is somewhere else, and you get there in a car." ~E.B. White

For Father's Day, we went (in our car!) down to the High Museum to see The Allure of the Automobile exhibit.

Coleman: "What is that thing?"
Me:"It's a sculpture."
Coleman: "What's it supposed to do?"
Me: "It doesn't DO anything. You just look at it and it's supposed to make you think."
Coleman: "It makes me think it should do something."
We always get the audio tour when we go to the High. There is a tour for grownups and one for kids. (Between you and me, the kids' one is usually better!)
Clark Gable's Duesenberg
The Pierce Arrow
A shiny black car
Who cares about the car? Let's go to Paris!
A jag and a mercedes
(I hope you enjoyed all of my technical, detailed descriptions.)
These cars really were fantastic. They are all one of a kind and are each worth millions of dollars. We all had a good time and it was the perfect place to take Jim for Father's Day. The exhibit is only at the High through June 27 and it is funaholic approved!
