Trashcan Cookies

Remember the Sweep-the-Kitchen?  That's what I've always called these cookies.  It's basically a cake mix cookie recipe with a bunch of leftover chips dumped in it.

Today, when Carolyn came in and saw them cooling on the counter, she said, "Yay!  You made trashcan cookies!"

"Why are you calling them trashcan cookies?"

"Because they have lots of junk in them!"

And so they will now forever be known as Trashcan Cookies.  I added a cup of crunched-up chex cereal to them this time for a little texture and it is yummy!

Sounds good...I'd have to buy "leftover chips" because I generally don't have any leftover by the time everyone steals some.

When the kids were small I made Ramen noodles and said to Miranda, "Eat your silly soup you noodle girl"

Ever since then it is called silly soup.

Love family traditions!!
