After shimmying up the tree on Saturday, Coleman gave a repeat performance on Sunday. He made it to the top no problem. But then he tried to climb over into the tree and the branch he grabbed broke and he came tumbling down! Coleman was fine (that kid has double the number of guardian angels that the rest of us have... or rubber bones!) He stood up, dusted himself off and went on his way with only a scrape on his back.
Christian cut himself while working on a bow he is making. I heard him cry out and went to check on him. We put pressure on the cut which was bleeding pretty badly. While I was trying to see how badly it was cut, he said, "My head feels kind of funny." I grabbed him under the arm and tried to get him to a chair as he turned white as a sheet and his eyes rolled back and he fainted dead away! I got him down to the floor while still trying to keep pressure on his finger. He was only out a few seconds. Jim walked through and casually said, "What happened to him?" I told him that Christian had passed out. "WHAT?!?" And then that he had cut himself pretty badly. "Do you want to look at it and see what you think?" "NOPE" he said! (Jim doesn't do blood, either!) I debated whether or not to take Christian in for stitches but decided that if wound glue was good enough for Carolyn's chin, it would probably work for Christian's finger! He's fine, too.
So, no Blue Ridge ER.... yet!
When I told Coleman that Christian had passed out, he said, "I wish I'd have seen it!"
