There Really Is A POUND of Butter In This Pound Cake

I found this recipe for Cream Cheese Bourbon Pecan Poundcake in Southern Living and since it has three of my favorite ingredients (butter, pecans and did I say BUTTER?) I decided to try it. Instead of making one regular-sized loaf, I made four small loaves and doled them out to friend and teachers. (I invited you ALL over on Facebook, but none of you came!)

It is VERY good, although I think I would like the pecans better in the glaze than in the cake. Also, we didn't have any bourbon, so I subbed vanilla and it was still good!

No picture, because my family INHALED it, but take my word for it, it is worth trying!

Well, since it made four little loaves, you only had a QUARTER pound of butter!

Believe it or not I don't like cream cheese or cheesecake in cake. I'll put cream cheese on a bagel though, or salami.

I mom, therefore I blog.
