In Blue Ridge yesterday, we walked down to the station so Camden could see the train. While we were there, the train blew it's 10 minute warning whistle, so the kids put pennies on the tracks.
After the train departed, the boys took off to find the pennies. Look I found one!
The kids thought it was awesome!
And now they have "old-school" elongated pennies to add to their collections.

I loved doing this at the beach when I was a kid. Great memories!
