Homemade Cannoli

Jim (who "doesn't eat sweets" but gives up candy for Lent every year) loves cannoli. It's required-he's Italian. (or Eye-talian, as my friend Stacey's dad always said!)

Last week, I decided that it was time to try to make them. I bought cannoli tubes from a kitchen supply store in the mall and found this recipe on allrecipes.com.

Cannoli tubes are cheap and come four to a box. I should have gotten two boxes so that I didn't have to wait for them to cool to make the next batch.

I'm really not a big fan of cannoli (which makes this a perfect dessert for me to make-no temptation!)

but the boys and Jim really liked them!
