Lowering the Lake

Our cabin is only about a mile from Lake Blue Ridge.  I found out this week end that the lake was lowered 68 feet to repair the earthen dam.  

We drove out to take a look and it was unbelievable!  

The repairs to the dam will be finished by next spring, but how much rain we get will determine when the lake will regain its normal level.
