Victoria Bryant State Park

The kids were out of school for Good Friday and since it was a GORGEOUS day here, we decided to head for the great outdoors. (Or rather, the mom-approved version-a state park.) Victoria Bryant State Park is beautiful. There is a creek running through it and we set up at a picnic area right next to the water and had lunch. The kids climbed on the rocks. And then decided to wade-which of course led to most of them getting wet from the waist down. We did a little hiking and tried to dry off before getting back in the car for the drive home. We discovered that we were not very far from the Ty Cobb Museum and stopped for a visit. The museum is very small but very nicely done. Of course, it is in the middle of NOWHERE! None of the kids knew who the Georgia Peach was, but they did at least recognize the pictures of Babe Ruth!
